See a surgeon!: A diastasis of the rectus muscles (no such thing as a diverticulation of abdomen recti) should not Prohibit you from exercising! a hernia may but that can be fixed. Go see a general surgeon about your hernia. It can be fixed, and then 6 weeks later, you can get back to full physical activity!
