Probably not: If you have HTN during preg your likelihood of developing permanent HTN is very high. You have blood vessels that did not respond normally to preg, usually the BP drops, and so you likely have a genetic predisposition to htn. It is unlikely you harmed yourself since you are young. Go to md now and assess bp. Start a low sodium diet, lose excess weight and do not smoke. If needed take meds.
