Agree with Dr. Ferguson-if it was intentional, it is self-harm. Either way, be sure to clean the abrasion with soap + water and put some antibiotic ointment on it it. If it begins to swell, get redder or if any pus develops, see your doctor. If this is self-harm, please seek help-start with your primary care doctor but you may need to see psychiatry. Get a tetanus vaccine, if >5 yrs since last one
