Not typical: Although there are many gynecologists are capable of technically performing these procedures, it is not a traditional part of most training programs. That was certainly a generous offer but i would have to ask why it was brig done for free and if this was to gain experience. Certainly if this was early in their experience, i would hope that they would have disclosed this to you as part of consent.

Not the best: Obstetricians and gynecologist do not have formal training in plastic surgery. They are not board certified in plastic surgery. A plastic surgeon would never perform a tummy tuck after a c-section because the uterus is still enlarged and the lower abdomen will continue to bulge.

Wrong: This is not the standard of care. Ob/gun are not trained to do tummy tucks (witch hazel). It is not recommended to do it at the time of c-section and you should be very alarmed by ethical integrity of your ob. You just had a high risk procedure.

Yes Weird...: What you are describing is very unusual and generally not recommended. Most patients who undergo tummy tuck surgery do so many months/years after C-section surgery ( best performed by board certified plastic surgeons). Best to have achieved a long-term stable weight prior to tummy tuck surgery. Best wishes; hopefully you will be very pleased, despite the unusual experience.
