See a doctor: There is a chance that a stone can get trapped in a duct, so you have to see either your pcp or GI specialist to figure this out.

When to get checked: Main duct between liver and bowel is called the common duct, it is cleared at laprascopic gallbladder removal (confirmed clear with contrast study/cholangiogram) or after surgery with ERCP (scope procedure). Occasionally a stone will get stuck in the common duct. Okay to see your doc. Blood work, exam and imaging will get the diagnosis. Hydrate to increase chance of stone passing.
