What can happen if i put desonide lotion on possible ringworm?

Itch relief only: If you have ringworm, you need to use an antifungal like lotrimin or lamisil (terbinafine). Ringworm will be terribly itchy, have a rough surface, and it will be a red rash in the shape of a MAP with a well-demarcated edge. If you use otc steroid cream, it will only ease the redness and itching but will do nothing for the ringworm. You could use lotrimin and the desonide for a nice combination treatment!
