Ring worm: Tinea corporis (ring worm) is a fungal infection, and there are several over the counter medications/creams that my help. Calamine lotion is drying and may help with an itch, but with the OTC creams as stated, they should suffice to treat the area. Best wishes.

Clotrimazole: Calamine may help ringworm (Tinea Corporis) but this skin condition is best treated by clotrimazole, sold over the counter as Lotrimin and other brand names.
