Heart: Hypertrophy or too much enlargement of heart muscle along with thickening of inner walls, fibrosis, causing less distensibility and poor heart function. Often inherited, familial. Heart murmur, palpitation, chest pain, dizziness, fainting, sudden death. Rx: no strenuous pe/competitive sports. Needs eval. By cardiologist. Pacemaker, medication, surgery; whole family nedds to be screened.
