A member asked:

How do you get heartburn?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Dan Lister answered

Reflux: Typically heartburn is caused by reflux where stomach content come back up into the esophagus. It occurs because the valve at the junction of the stomach and esophagus is defective and won't stay closed.
