GERD w/out heartburn: You can have GERD w/out heartburn. Stomach problems such as gastritis and ulcers can cause the same symptoms. The sour taste in your mouth is from stomach acid coming back up your esophagus into your mouth (Reflux). Avoid stomach irritants- stomach, alcohol, high acid/spicy foods. May need to take omeprazole or another antacid for a couple weeks. See a doctor if it does not go away or comes back
