A member asked:

I still have fluid behind my ear drum after a full corse of antibiotics to cure a middle and external ear infection, both sides. what should/can i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Serous otitis media: You probably have sterile fluid in your middle ear, a common condition following middle ear infection. This may last a couple of weeks. If the condition persist you should see your doctor. Decongestants may help (pseudofed, phenylephrine).
