Nicotine : The blood pressure could go up some. The drug is a vasoconstrictor.

probably not: People who quit smoking often have better control of their blood pressure. They are able to exercise more, which helps blood pressure and overall health. Using nicotine patches should be a temporary thing - although you should use them as long as it takes to 'learn' how to get through the day -- without lighting up! call 1-800-quit now for more info and great coaching to help you get through it.
