Hydration: The most important thing is to drink plenty of fluids. If it is a child with rotavirus, a formula with electrolytes such as pedialyte is highly recommended. Wash your hands to avoid spreading the virus. If the child becomes less active (lethargic), cries with few tears, or makes less urine that can be a sign of severe dehydration and a visit to the emergency dept is advised.
