A 16-year-old male asked:
when doing a blood test for mono would doctors be able to see any other viruses you may or may not have?

No: A screening serum test for mononucleosis does not identify anything else.

Need more tests: There is currently no one blood test to check for all viruses, and your doc needs to request testing for each virus he/she considers relevant to your condition. A test for mono would look for the ebstein-barr virus alone.
