Likely Not: Severs disease stops when your growth plates close and you finish growing. Pain in that spot as an adult is likely Achilles tendonitis. Ice packs, stretching, decreasing aggravating activity and over the counter nsaids will help. Heel cups may also give some relief. If none of those work over a few weeks go back to your doc.

No: Sever's disease refers to calcaneal apophysitis, which is found in children with open growth plates. Adults can have similar pain for multiple reasons, most commonly insertional Achilles tendinopathy. You should have it examined by a specialist.

Achilles: This sounds like achilles tendonitis and may include some insertional bone formation. Sever's disease (or calcaneal apophysitis) is a condition that affects children with an open growth plate to the calcaneus (heel bone) and causing pain related to traction.
