Ask: If you have reasonable alternative medicine plan for your situation, propose it to your dr and see how it is received. If instantly shut down without much rationale, then no. If educated / rational concern behind using / not using alternative, consider in your decision. Most chronic conditiions not well controlled w/only alt-med, but can help reduce need for meds.

A useful method is..: Unfortunately, doctors are products of a medical education system that's unduly influenced by pharmaceutical companies & taught almost exclusively about drugs in a setting where alternatives are derided. Most docs who truly embrace a broader perspective have become certified by the american board of integrative holistic medicine&/or are members of the american holistic med. Fortunately, a growing number of doctors are not just "pill-pushers." Any doctor who belongs to these organizations has not only embraces alternatives but is likely to be quite knowledgeable. You don't know: As a medical doctor using a variety of innovative strategies to optimize health, I have no special license or certification that you can trust implicitly. I am regulated by the same medical board that other doctors are regulated. Good medicine comes in many forms. Being informed yourself is the best way to know if you are getting effective, efficient, and safe care - traditional or otherwise.

Antianxiety herbs: Usually this medication is used for the treatment of anxiety. There are a number of herbal remedies which may help for this condition depending on the symptoms and other factors. Some of my favorites include chamomile, lemon balm, the Ayurvedic herb ashwagandha (withania somnifera), and l-theanine which is found naturally in tea but can also be taken as a supplement.

Scam: The premise behind this supplement, that we need regular deworming, is not accurate. Also, there is no meaningful information about what formulation of herbs are in the supplement. The fact that it has been banned from several countries is a huge red flag. Save your money!
