A member asked:

Hi doctors, i'm 17 years old, is it safe to take adios pills and if i use them and start developing side effects and continue taking them, will it severely affect me? and if there are alternatives?

It depends on what the effects are, if you feel that it is worth what you are trying to accomplish and not serious. If the side effects are serious then seek medical care and stop the pills. There are alternatives and that you could discuss with available medical practitioner in your area. The important thing may be to look at your diet and cut down on sugars and be more active to optimize growth.

Especially at your age , it is better to try losing weight by changes in diet and by increasing regular physical exercise. This is the safest method for losing weight . Depending on the physical exam and the degree of obesity , the doctor might order tests for diabetes or other conditions, to help you and suggest other measures to lose weight. Good luck .
