A member asked:

Raised area on the upper right side of my forehead. size of a fifty cent piece. i have sharp headache pains for 2 straight days. what could this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lump and Headache: You could have a dermoid or sebaceous cyst on the forehead. The "stretched skin" could trigger a headache. A neurofibroma - have you had these lesions before anywhere else on your body- could also be at play? Retain vascular lesions - which can also cause a headache - may also be the problem. Is the bump red and tender? Does it "pulsate?" i would consult with your doctor or a dermatologist.
