Many causes: Of abdominal pain in that area. It can be related to small or large intestine, kidney/ureter, inguinal hernia, lymph node inflammation, or even entrapped nerve. In your age group, malignancies are unusual, but you should be tested for testicular cancer, kidney stones, crohn's disease, or inguinal hernias, which are treatable conditions.
