Why does levofloxacin raise your heart rate?

Antibiotic: In general it doesn't. If you have a reaction to it or if the infection progresses and causes vasodilation, might see a heart rate increase. If the patient is extremely anxious about themselves, virtually anything will increase their heart rate.
