No: In the absence of symptoms, a low ef of the gall bladder is not very helpful -- but given that you know your ef, i suspect your doctor is concerned about your gall bladder, and i suspect someone will discuss removing it with you.

Only : If you are having typical gallbladder symptoms and there are no other causes of your symptoms. If you are having typical gallbladder-type pain and all other studies are negative, it is likely that you have a gallstone that is not seen on ultrasound or a condition called biliary dyskinesia. If your symptoms are severe and if your GI specialist and surgeon recommend it, go for it.
