Probably normal : Studies prior to effective meds, suggested potential of 8 fewer years of life, but a recent study using betaseron, (interferon beta 1b) suggested a likelihood of full lifespan if appropriate treatement is employed. So, with potent effective therapy which is well-tolerated, you should do fine. Just ascertain that you are on the correct medicine, and, in this day and age, the older injectables are rapidly replaced.
