Go to your doctor. : COPD at 51 with sweating and dizzy spell at rest sounds like enough to make a trip to your doctor or a acute care facility.

COPD : Not sure what "dizzy" means-can be different things to different people. COPD can cause persons to feel light headed if their oxygen saturation is abnormal. These symptoms could be present both with exertion and at rest. Also if you tend to get anxious and hyperventilate-this too can lead to a dizzy/ light headed sensation. See your doctor and be as detailed as you can about these episodes.
