Hormones: Early menopause exposes you to many years without the benefits of hormones. If you are able to take hormones, i would strongly recommend low dose hormones.

Hormones: estrogen: If you are truly menopausal at age 38 you run the risk of having severe estrogen deficiency related diseases: osteoporosis being the first that comes to mind. Estrogen is the best hormone to treat hot flashes and prevent problems. Some women need testosterone added to control the symptom as well.
