5ml (1 tsp): Start with 5ml every 6-8 hrs as needed. Remember to treat for his comfort, not the number on the thermometer. You may consider Ibuprofen (advil (ibuprofen) or motrin). It comes in an "infant concentrated drop" form and the dosage would be 2.5ml every 6-8 hrs. (a "childrens form" of Ibuprofen is more dilute and the dose would be 5ml every 6-8 hrs).

Be sure which u have: 160mg. By new infant liquid =5ml in syringe. By chilrens liquid =5ml (or 1tsp) in cup. Could also use chewable if your 1yo is ok w/that. See & print out: http://assets.Babycenter.Com/ims/content/acetaminophen_dosage_chart.Pdf --for birth to 96 lbs dosing information.
