Hi, my son has fever (102 f) for past 24 hours. he is very calm and drinking water and we gave him some kid's tylenol (acetaminophen) 5 ml every 4 hours. is he ok?

Call md: Best to call you pediatrician. Febrile illness can be anything. Good that he is taking fluids but best to get him checked out.

Watchful waiting: If he is calm and happy despite the fever, he may be incubating roseola which is a harmless children's illness affecting children under two. Try controlling the temp as you have, push fluids, and use tepid baths to keep him cool. If however, there is a change in his demeanor over the next day or two see his pediatrician.
