Depends: Sarcoid can affect many different parts of the body. The more serious effects of sarcoidosis can cause problems with the lungs, joints, and eyes. Patients with severe lung disease tend to have the worst problems of sarcoid. If sarcoid only affects the skin or causes only mild arthritis the disease may not be that serious. Eye involvement also can be very serious. You may need to diff. Specialists.
