Back Pain: Sure if you are only looking for pharmacologic pain relief. Other choices are a good neutral spine core stability program, inversion table, acupuncture, stop smoking. If you just want to cover up the pain with pain meds there are multiple options for schedule 3 and 2 meds. Some are long acting and some short acting. May have to do it through a comprehensive chronic pain management program.

Family practice : You need to go to a pain management clinic. Find the cause if you can. Epidural shots or nerve block. There are longer acting opiates if needed.
