Dental irrigation: A waterpik is an oral irrigation device that shoots a stream of water in & around your teeth in order to remove loose food debris. I only recommend this device for patients undergoing orthodontic treatment, patients with dexterity problems & in some patients who find it difficult to keep their teeth clean. It does not remove dental plaque and should only be used in addition to brushing & flossing!
