Yes: These products are regulated by the fda and safe in general. If as i supose your 2-3 yo is a picky eater and your looking for a safe supplement, it will do. There are less expensive alternatives that your physician could direct you to. These kids grow 3in & 4-5lb /yr untill adolescence so they don't eat as much as babies growing 10in/14lb/yr.

Sure, but why?: A child with a normal diet never needs the "supplemental" next step formulas. Special needs children should be followed by a nutritionist to optimize growth potential and development. A lot of parents feel children in lower percentiles for weight need extra nutrition, but nearly always that's false. Please ask your pediatrician for a thorough nutritional check.
