Yes: As long as the formula contains whole milk, it is fine. Babies should remain on whole milk until they are 2 years to give them all the nutrients for brain growth. All the best.

At age 1 year: That sounds like a "toddler formula", so it would be ok to start at age 1 year. It's only a week from her birthday, so consider her a 1 year old. Also, pasteurized whole cow milk can be used instead of toddler formula, if a baby is doing fine with eating a variety of baby foods. Parents can ask questions at the child's 12-month, 15-month, and 18-month check-ups.
