Probably not: If you see bright red blood (hematochezia, ) the source is probably lower gi, such as terminal ileum, colon, or anorectal disease. A bleeding ulcer will usually show dark, almost black, stools (melena.) talk to your doctor. Even at your young age, you don't want to assume the source is not malignant, though it probably is. Good luck.

Not likely: Bleeding ulcer (duodenal or stomach) usually causes black stool, or melena. If you see bright red blood in your stool, it is bleeding usually from a source closer to your anal opening. Most common cause is hemorrhoids, but it could be serious as a cancer, so you need to be examined by a doctor.
