I have diabetes and i heard that could affect finger numbness. what do you think i should do?

Neuropathy: Diabetes can cause peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage). It involves more feet than hands, but the symptoms are either tingling/burning or numbness (or both) in feet/hands. Prevention and treatment is good blood sugar control. There are drugs that can help. What should you do? Work with your doctor to get your a1c less than 7.5 and keep it there.

See your doc: He can get an emg-ncs and determine if the numbness is a diabetic neuropathy or some other cause, i.e. Cts.

Education: Know the possible complications and how to avoid each. Watch your sugar and carbohydrate intake. Eat in moderation. Exercise. Take you medications as recommended. Monitor your sugar levels. Follow up with you doctor regularly and follow their guidance.
