The : The shaking may be from hypoglycemic episodes (when his blood sugar gets too low). Also there are neurological conditions that can cause shaking. He will need to discuss his symptoms with his primary care provider in order to uncover the cause. As far as the numbness goes, this is likely an effect of diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage from diabetes). This tends to worsen as diabetes progresses. There are treatment options available. His doctor can discuss this with him as well and decide which regimen is best for him.
