What can the hospital do for me if i go to the er with extreme tooth pain?

No: They are absolutely less than useless. You need to go to a dentist that does extractions. Then you can be properly treated.

Dentist.: This is kind of like going to the dentist for a hair cut. They do some things really well in the er, but not what you need; so if your dental issue is life threatening, they will save your life, the dental problem will still need treatment by a someone who can fix the issue. See your dentist. Solve the problem. Take fewer meds & be well :-).

Not so much mostly..: Please see your dentist.... There are multiple causes of extreme tooth pain. The dentist can best treat this.

Not much: The er will not be able to do anything other than prescribe a pain reliever such as hydrocodone and an antibiotic if indicated. You must see a dentist to have extreme tooth pain treated with a filling, root canal, or extraction.

Pain meds: Just pain meds and antibiotics. Won't solve problem. See dentist ASAP.
