Bleeding: First thing to do is to bite on some water moistened gauze for at the least 1 hour on your way to see your surgeon as the sutures are important for proper gum healing. Next follow all the instructions the surgeon gives you; everything will heal.

Consider calling OS: I would consider calling the oral surgeon, but you can try biting on a wet gauze or a caffeinated tea bag, which has tannic acid which helps with clotting. I would also call the oral surgeon just to let them know.
