CURED VS CONTROLLED: Sleep apnea is a serious disease that can be treated and controlled. It can't be cured like an infection. If you have had a sleep study done your md will know what type of sleep apnea you have and its severity. If severe you will need to wear a CPAP devise that forces air down your throat to keep the passages clear for breathing. If mild or moderate, a dentist can make an appliance you can wear.
