Varicose vein grades: Doctors grade [superficial] varicose vein disease on a clinical scale 1-6 based on the visible signs seen on the leg. Grade 1 are spider veins, grade 2 are ropey varicose veins, grade 3 leg swelling, grade 4 is skin changes, grade 5 [healed]and 6 [open]are signs of leg ulcers. This grading is part of ceap classification which is how doctors comunicate about the severity of vein disease.

Not sure: I honestly don't know what grade 2 varicose veins means. Is that ceap class 2, as dr. Wright answered, or is hach type 2, or is it widmer cvi stage ii, or is it something else. They all mean very different things. Sorry to not be of more help. I little more specific information would be useful.
