Perhaps: Although there are not good objective studies supporting the use of Aspirin at this age for women (men over the age of 45 seem to have fewer heart attacks), studies do show that women over 65 and taking low dose Aspirin have fewer strokes. Many primary care doctors routinely have all their patient's over 50 take prophylactic low dose aspirin.
