Aspirin : Chronic aspirin use is associated with a slight risk of bleeding problems including cerebral hemorrhage. Currently its use by people without history of prior ischemic strokes or coronary heart disease is controversial. Nevertheless many adults are still taking it as a primary preventative measure against heart attacks or ischemic strokes as they are concerned about having silent atherosclerosis.
