An enzyme responsible for the formation of prostanoids: prostaglandins, prostacyclin and thromboxanes. Due to above effects you will have the 4 main functions of asa which are anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, pain, decreasing platelet aggregation and the formation of atheromatous plague at coronaries.
