What tests?: If this has been a lifelong pattern it would be considered abnormal. A work up for an immune deficiency should be considered. Environmental and food allergies and the immune system response to them can also make patients more vulnerable to infections when they are exposed. If this child was previously healthy and has recently entered day care this is a fairly common and will resolve.
