A member asked:

What's the diagnosis of a reddish swelling on the lower part of the leg and on touching it you feel it's solid somehow ?

Cellulitis: Most commonly cellulitis but a blood clot needs to be ruled out with ultrasound of leg. Seek med help for antibiotics asap

Red tender lower leg: Without seeing this one must guess. But, the most worriesome situation would be a deep vein blood clot. This can be fatal and need to be urgently seen and treated. Slightly less worriesome but no less painful is phlebitis or an infection of the lower leg blood vessels leading to painful swelling. Please do not wait on getting to good health car if you are experiencing these symptoms.
