Red blood?: If it is red blood it can't come from hiatal hernia. It means that the pathology what ever it is comes from the colon/rectum. Hiatal hernia would give -if bleeding massive - tarry black stool; usually it is however in a smal amount and only occult blood would be detected by stool test, invisible to the naked eye. Have a proctologist/colo-rectal surgeon have a a peek and a finger up your but!
