Evaluate: The only way to know with certainty the origin of the bony lump is to image.Ct with with intravenous contrast usually differentiate a begnign process from aggressive lesion. Surgeon would not operate without imaging.Some conservative physicians might say observe for month and if getting larger en then work up with imaging and biopsy. Etiology includes fracture, infection and tumor(benign vs malig.
