What can be done to treat eczema?

Eczema: While eczema is not preventable, self-care measures such as frequent hydration of skin and avoidance of extreme temperatures and known irritants can help manage symptoms and reduce the severity of outbreaks. Moisturizers include otc cutemol or cerave cream. Mild soap like dove inscented is also helpful. Non-steroids such as prescription Elidel (pimecrolimus) and or Protopic are very effective.
