What is done for a child that has eczema?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Moisturize!: The most important aspect of managing eczema is trapping in moisture to the skin. Immediately after bathing or showering place a moisturizer such as aquaphor, vaseline, or any other cream which will keep the skin moist. Apply 3-4 times daily. In addition your pediatrician can discuss using a short term topical steroid for flares and a medication to take by mouth for itching.
