CAN BE VARIABLE: Optic neuritis causing loss of vision can be the very initial manifestation of ms, and needs aggressive treatment to restore baseline function, and if MRI lesions are present, use of ms disease modifying therapy needs to be started. (earlier the better). Absence of treatment could be very precarious, and since complex, seek an experienced neurologist. Vit d supplements also important.
