No cure: Clearly, theories abound why some pts do get the problem, but no real convincing unitary cause uncovered to date. No full-blown cure available, but meds are fda approved and do help. (includes lyrica, savella, (milnacipran) cymbalta, and may do well on effexor, or gabapentin). Have found that exercise, and stress management may help immensely. A good rheumatologist or physiatrist is often very successful.

Psychotherapy too: Psychotherapy and skills training can also be helpful for coping with and managing fibromyalgia. Fibro is more common in women, and most sufferers also complain of significant sleep disturbance or disorders. Finding a psychologist or therapist in your area with expertise can be helpful. Here are some tips for improving sleep too: http://tinyurl.Com/cuexb6u.

Fibromyalgia: No one can definitively say what causes fibro. It's more a matter of management than cure, unfortunately. Pain management, preferably with as few pills as possible is of utmost importance. Here is the website of the American Academy of Pain Management: http://www.aapainmanage.org/

There is no cure: Fibromyalgia is a generalized systemic condition that is characterized by widespread aching or pain throughout the body. To be included in the diagnosis of FM, this pain should be located in at least three out of four quadrants of the body or along the entire spine for a minimum of three months. If diagnosed, use east-west integrative medicine for management. There is no cure.
