Help please! is fibromyalgia inherited and can it be cured?

Maybe: Fibromyalgia does seem to run in families and is significantly more common in women however no genetic link has been proven. Fibromyalgia can be reduced significantly with medicines and other interventions but still seems to periodically flare up even in thebest case.

Yes: Inherited aspect of fibromyalgia (fm) is joint hypermobility syndrome (jhs). This trait mostly transcends female line & imbues greater ligament flexibility. Bristol criteria enables diagnosis.
